NUS High student Mario Tanijaya, 17, wins an annual contest that recognises science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) talents. Organised by the Science Centre Singapore, the National STEM Talent Search is a platform for aspiring scientists to showcase their projects and encourages students to pursue their interests in the STEM field.

来自国大附属数理中学的17岁学生陈功（Mario Tanijaya），以其出色的研究题材，在今年度的全国科学、技术、工程和数学(STEM)人才选拔赛中夺得冠军。

陈功从八名决赛选手中脱颖而出，获得包括2010年诺贝尔物理学奖得主科思厗厓（Konstantin Novoselov ）教授在内等十人评审小组的肯定；科思厗厓教授目前在新加坡国立大学任教。

来自莱佛士书院的郭智恩（Koay Tze Erhn）和刘曦楠（Annika Liu Xinan）则分别获得亚军和季军。

作为新加坡科技研究局（A*STAR）人才选拔赛的改版，由新加坡科学馆主办，并获得教育部支持的全国STEM人才选拔赛，每年举办一次，借此激励在STEM方便表现出色的学生，并给予全国水平的认可。
