“Migration”藉由一个搞笑的鸭子家庭的冒险旅程讲述我们应该克服自己内心的恐惧，打开心房接纳这个世界以及各种可能性。
Mallard这个鸭子家庭过着一成不变的生活，虽然老爸Mack觉得只要平平安安地让他的家人一辈子都在新英格兰的池塘划水过日子就很满足了，老妈Pam却很渴望想要追求刺激感，并且让他们的孩子－已经是青少年的儿子Dax和仍是只小鸭子的小女儿Gwen－见识这个广大的世界。当一个到处迁移的鸭子家庭来到他们的池塘，并且跟他们说了很多在遥远地方精彩刺激的故事之后，Pam就说服了Mack，一家人展开一场家庭旅行，先经过纽约市，然后再去热带国家牙买加。
但是在Mallard一家人飞往温暖的南半球避寒的路上，他们事先想好的周全计画很快就大凸槌，不过这整个经验却将鼓励他们打开他们的视野，让他们敞开心胸结交全新的朋友，达到他们从来没有想过有可能达到的目标，而且也让他们更了解彼此，也更了解自己，完全超乎他们的想像。
