（综合讯）奥斯卡影帝Eddie Redmayne在“Harry Potter”外传电影“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”系列担任男主角“Newt”，原先电影规划5部曲，但在第2集“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”、第3集“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”上映后，迟迟没有后续消息。近日Eddie Redmayne接受访问时，遗憾地说......
Eddie Redmayne近期在宣传新片“The Day of the Jackal”，接受访问时提到“Fantastic Beasts”系列可能不会再拍续集。
“据我所知情况就是这样，当然可能还要再与华纳兄弟影业与J. K. Rowling确认，但据我所知，就是这样（最后一部）了。”
他还自嘲，粉丝可以去佛罗里达州的环球影城，那边有“Fantastic Beasts”系列的最新游乐设施。“可以看见‘Newt’，还有他在巴黎做了什么”。
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”在2016年上映，当时有不错的票房，一度被视为延续“Harry Potter”宇宙的重要作品，不过2018年及2022年上映的续集表现不如预期。华纳兄弟默默暂停“Fantastic Beasts”后面两集的计划，着手把“Harry Potter”重新选角制作成剧集。
