一起男子从山顶坠落身亡的意外，让刑警海俊（朴海日饰）遇见死者妻子宋瑞莱（汤唯饰）。面对丈夫的死没有特别情绪的瑞莱，不同于一般的死者家属，这让警方开始对她产生怀疑。海俊在调查瑞莱案发当天的不在场证明、讯问以及跟监埋伏的过程中，他发现自己愈来愈在意她。另一方面，令人难以捉摸的瑞莱，即使知道海俊对自己抱持疑心，仍毫不犹豫地面对他。隐藏真心的嫌犯，以及对嫌犯同时产生疑心和关心的刑警，他们最后的决心究竟是……？
